Jill Philine Blau hosted the Commons & Commoning Writing Retreat at Friedensau Adventist University. The retreat is part of an ongoing initiative launched by Arun Agrawal, Angelos Varvarousis and Eduardo S. Brondizio to contribute to the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). The retreat brought together scholars and students in order to foster research on commons and commoning.
